Hayes’ single helps RBI win 18U championship

Jayson Hayes gave RBI Baseball the 7-6 lead with an RBI single in the championship game of the 18U division of the Baseball Showcase tournament this past weekend at Gene Autry Park in Mesa, Arizona.

“It felt good,” Hayes said. “I’m glad I could get a hit to help us get the victory.”

Hayes just wrapped up his junior year at Willow Canyon High School in Surprise, Arizona. The 17-year-old enjoys playing basketball as well as baseball. He also enjoys hanging out with his friends and going to the gym. After high school, Hayes wants to play college baseball and major in nursing before becoming an orthopedic surgeon. He said he has interest from some schools on the east coast.
